Department of Law was established in 1952 and cover an area of 27.0 sq.m.(Staff Room). The Department offers programs like LL.B and Ph.D. The total sanctioned strength of students of per year is (264) Two hundred and sixty for and the number of Ph.D seats allotted to to Department of Low is Twenty. The total sanctioned faculty strength is Nine including four permanent teachers and five tutors. all the four permanent teachers holds Ph.D. Degree in Low. 

Library and Research Lab in the department provides additional features to its Infrastructure. The Faculty members provide excellent teaching and assessment. on the basis of syllabus decided by University. HOD deserves a mention for efficient utilisation of grants provided by Principal on the basis of norms and requirements of departments.

The Department also has an e-Library offering world class infrastructure to reduce the digital divide.
